Genady Melikyan quits as deputy chief of Russia's Central Bank

The first deputy chief of Russia's Central Bank, Genady Melikyan, has
quits from office, the Russian news agency RIA Novosti reported.
Melikyan, who was responsible for the bank's loans control procedures,
has confirmed earlier reports on his resignation in an interview with
the agency.
"I think it's already time," he said, adding that he had submitted his
resignation notice before taking a leave three weeks ago.
He refrained from giving further comments on his resignation. Neither
did he say anything the person who is going to replace him.
