The Armenian State Revenue Committee has released a list of Armenia's
major taxpayers for the first half of 2011.

The Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Combine tops the list. The stable
international copper and molybdenum prices enabled the enterprise
to transfer over AMD 15 billion to Armenia's state budget in the
first half of 2011 - a 3.5-fold (251%) increase as compared with the
    corresponding period last year.

This year, the company has paid seven times as much as direct taxes
as in the corresponding period last year, which is evidence of higher
profitability as compared with last year. The Armrusgasprom company
ranks 2nd in the list with its AMD 12.7 billion - a 26.7% annual
increase despite a 3.3% decrease in direct taxes. The Alex Grig
company, owned by the Armenian businessman and Parliament member
Samvel Aleksanyan, ranks third, with its AMD 8.1 billion - a 4.6%
decrease as compared with last year. On the other hand, the company's
direct taxes showed a 55% increase.

    The ArmenTel company ranks 4th - AMD 6.8 billion (a 5.8% decrease).

The Electric Network of Armenia company ranks 5th - AMD 4.97 billion.

In the first half of 2011, Armenia's 1,000 largest taxpayers
transferred a total of AMD 232.5 billion to the state budget - an 11.2%
increase as compared with the corresponding period last year.
