ARMENIAN PREMIER APPRECIATES UNICEF'S ROLE IN ARMENIA

Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received today UNICEF's permanent
representative to Armenia, Laily Moshiri-Gilan, who is ending her
diploamtic mission in the country.
Welcoming the guest, the premier highly praised UNICEF's role and
activities aimed in Armenia.
"The Republic of Armenia appreciates the role of United Nations
Children's Fund, and your personal efforts towards protecting
children's rights and ensuring a better health, and living standards
for them," he said.
The premier particularly stressed the importance of the UNICEF projects
and activities aimed at integration of orphanage children to society.
Moshiri thanked the premier for high-level cooperation and support.
She said the government's policies on the protection of children's
rights had played a major role in the implementation of several social
programs. Mochiri told the premier that UNICEF continue its mission
in the country, furthering reforms in the social services sector and
the protection of children's rights.
A new UNICEF representative to Armenia will take office in September.
