The failure in Kazan is one of the links of the superpowers' civilized
defeats in the East, political expert Sergey Shakaryants said at
today's press conference in Yerevan.
"This is not only the defeat of Russia, but also the defeat of the
United States. The failure of the western policy in the Karabakh peace
process, the defeat in Afghanistan, Lybia and other Arab countries
have led to the fact that the USA has decided to open its cards and
apply Syria and the Kurdish factor to suppress Iran, its main rival",
he said.
However, Shakaryants thinks that it is impossible, as not a
single country in the region will start a war against Iran, even
pro-American Turkey. At the same time, Shakaryants did not rule
out possible expansion of the Syrian domestic political conflict,
which may develop into a Kurdish movement and result in creation of
Kurdistan. "The Middle East countries' positions are so week due to
the protracted conflicts and the recent revolutions that creation of
independent Kurdistan is quite probable", he said.
