YEREVAN. - A war will not resume in Nagorno-Karabakh is the foreseeable
future, Chairman of Ramkavar-Azatakan Party of Armenia Eduard Antinyan
    told reporters on Wednesday.

"A war breaks out, when the sides fail to resolve the long-lasting
conflict. The forces who keep track in the developments of the conflict
are fed up with any of the conflicting sides, as they meddle in others'
affairs. In this case, the world powers make one of the parties to
the conflict declare war, later they interfere and incite the parties
to peace. Here is the scenario," Antinyan noted.

However, according to him, there is no war threat in Nagorno-Karabakh
as the forces engaged in the conflict resolution have different
interests. "Russia, the U.S., the EU and Iran are playing here. In
this scenario the conflict is unlikely to escalate," he noted.

Meanwhile, Antinyan ruled out a swift resolution of the Karabkah
conflict. Referring to the Russian President, he expressed gratitude
towards his efforts aimed at early settlement of the issue. "However,
Medvedev will fail to achieve a conflict resolution, not because he
is unwilling to, but he will not be allowed to do it," the politician
    concluded.
