SUKHUMI. - Armenia and Abkhazia have much in common, Abkhazian PM,
candidate for presidency Sergei Shamba told at the interview with
Nuzhnaya newspaper and added that certain differences are also
observed.
"Armenia is a mono-ethnic state, while Abkhazia is multi-national.
Many nations living in Abkhazia enrich each other's culture. We have
such a symbiosis of cultures," Abkhazian PM told. "However, Abkhazia
has something to learn from Armenia, for example, hard-working."
Abkhazian PM is also delighted with Armenian ancient historical
monuments and architecture. Abkhazians also have such heritage and
they try to preserve and pass it to other generations. The two states
are similar on their sorrow and important past. History should not be
forgotten or overlooked bur future is what matters, Shamba concluded.
