Azerbaijanis protest note in Tehran. Iranian Ambassador in Azerbaijan
handed a protest note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the
Iranian Armed Forces Generals words: Use of the Islamic factor in
Azerbaijan by Iran, are held as natural as a rebuff to the West's
policies. They are expected interesting developments to increase
pressure on Iran by the West, which influence the relations with
Armenia.
Azerbaijan is "Aran" country and that the country is "aranian, in
Iranian people's veins flows the Iranian blood." similar statement
was made by the head of the Iranian Armed Forces General Staff Hasan
Firuzabad to criticize the government's actions against the principles
of Islam. He predicted a grim fate also for Ilham Aliyev.
As expected, Azerbaijan's hysterical reaction was followed. "We will
not allow anyone to interfere in the internal affairs of the Republic
of Aserbaijan" These are words of the official representative of the
Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Elkhan Polukhov.
