The Karabakh conflict settlement "a status in exchange for territories"
has been imposed on Armenians by the third forces, political expert
Vahan Shirkhanyan said at today's press conference.
"Instead, Armenia should be guided by the principle "equal exchange
of territories" with Azerbaijan, i.e. by the return of Nakhijevan,
for instance", he said.
In addition, Shirkhanyan thinks that the international community should
activate its role in the conflict settlement: "The international
practice has numerous examples, when the long-term problems were
resolved by means of international pressure".
