Yerevan/Mediamax/. On the behest of Armenian Minister of Nature
Protection Aram Harutyunyan, the officers of the capital's relevant
inspection examined the toxic emissions from the garbage dump in
    Yerevan Malatia-Sebastia community.

According to the research results, the dump emits methane, carbon
dioxide and ammonium which are harmful to people's health, Mediamax
was informed in the "Ecolur" NGO.

The Inspection officers met with the leadership of Malatia-Sebastia
community and offered to take up measures to fully remove the garbage
from the territory within 2-3 days.

According to the NGO's data, the dump is illegal as it is located
next to dwelling houses and is adjacent to "Surb Astvatsatsin"
    maternity hospital.

Starting from today, relevant equipment operates on the dump which
will provide full cleaning of the territory. In his turn, the Deputy
Chairman of Malatia-Sebastia District Administration Ashot Smbatyan
claimed that the area will be fenced after the clearing and the
    violators will be fined.
