ARF-D OFFICIAL COMMENTS ON WEST AMERICA CENTRAL COMMITTEE'S STATEMENT

The West American central committee of Armenian Revolutionary
Federation Dashnaktsutyun (ARF-D) issued a strongly worded statement.
In the statement the ARF-D refuses to take part in the dinner party
to be held in Los Angeles, California, U.S., on the occasion of the
20th anniversary of Armenia's independence. A number of media outlets
asked the ARF-D press office for comments on the statement. The ARF-D
press office reported comments by Giro Manoyan, Head of the ARF-D
Hay Dat office.
The statement reflects the central committee's stance. Armenia is
facing numerous problems. However, the 20th anniversary cements
"our common achievements," says the comment.
"At such high-level functions, we have no right to be guided by
unformed relations and emotions. Following our principles, we must
take the chance to show our unity by means of such events."
