A violation of the ceasefire accord on the Contact Line between Nagorno
Karabakh and Azerbaijan has left an Armenian serviceman wounded.
Nver Sargsyan, 31, received firearm wounds after the frontline troops
of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces fired gunshots in the eastern direction
of the Line.
Sargsyan was hospitalized. After a surgery, his condition is said to
be of medium gravity.
A probe into the circumstances of the incident has been launched.
The Azerbijani media earlier reported that a lieutenant of their Armed
forces - Akif Abdiev - had had been injured in an attack allegedly
launched by the Armenian troops.
The Armenian Defense Ministry denied the report in a later statement,
characterizing it as yet another lame attempt to describe Armenians
as agressors.
