Young activists of the opposition Armenian National Congress (HAK)
have agreed to a proposal by opposition activist Zhirayr Sefilian to
hold a "civilized discussion".
Speaking to Tert.am, HAK activist Sargis Gevorgyan said that though
everything is clear for them, they would, however be glad to meet
Sefilian and discuss issues of concern.
"On behalf of my friends I can say the following, that in general
terms everything is clear for us; we have expressed our view in a
statement and have nothing to add," said Gevorgyan.
"However, if Mr Sefilian has something to say, we would be glad to
meet him any day at any hour," Gevorgyan added.
Further, he said that they invite Sefilian to the HAK headquarter
to discuss any issue he is concerned, given Sefilian is the head of
the Armenian Voluntary Consolidation civil initiative that is part
of the HAK.
It comes after Zhirayr Sefilian called on arrested HAK activists on
his Facebook page to hold a civil dialogue in their fight against of
the ruling authorities.
