TURKISH POLICEMEN ACCOMPANIED SAFELY KILLER OF ARMENIA JOURNALIST - TURKISH SOLDIER

ISTANBUL. - A Turkish soldier working at Samsun Gendarmerie made
a sensation statement connected with the murder of Hrant Dink,
Armenian-Turkish journalist, editor of Agos newspaper.
The Turkish officer without mentioning his name said that Ogun Samast,
the killer, get on public bus after killing Dink. He was accompanied
by policemen in civilian dress, Firat agency reports. Police officers
took photos with Samast. Later they were fired not because of taking
photos but because the photos reached press, told the police officer
who worked at Samsun Gendarmerie at that time.
He also stated that no policemen of Istanbul police were punished
in connection with Dink murder. The advocate of Dink Fethiye Cetin
said they filed a new lawsuit for the case. Moreover, suspicions in
Dink murder lead to Istanbul police. Besides, all video surveillance
disappeared from the scene of murder, added the advocate. Turkish
court sentenced Samast for 22 years and 10 months of imprisonment.
