Economist Movses Aristakesyan, a member of the Armenian National
Congress Economic Committee, said the soaring prices of sugar in
Armenia have nothing to do with the world sugar prices, though oligarch
and Member of Parliament Samvel Alexanyan, who is the importer of
sugar to Armenia, has recently explained so.
Moreover, Aristakesyan thinks the soaring price means Alexanyan is
raising funds for snap elections.
~SIt turns out that 300% profit is not enough for Mr. Samvel Alexanyan,
and he has become poorer. So, in order to support his large family,
he needs more profit. Or, he is intensively getting ready for the
upcoming snap elections, boosting slash funds,~T said Aristakesyan.
Movses Aristakesyan says Samvel Alexanyan walks around the South-West
Residential Area of Yerevan, distributing assistance for already two
months, which is indirect bribes.
