Armenian government approved a sheep-breeding development concept
on Thursday.

of this segment of agriculture and form appropriate gene pool for
enhancement of meat yield.
Another aim of this concept is to increase the number of sheep and
to boost pastures' efficiency.
According to the agriculture ministry's data, 420,000 to 450,000 lambs
are born in Armenia every year. Some 220 to 230 of them are for export.
