Armenian Ombudsman vs. Ministry of Education, round four

YEREVAN. - Armenian Ministry of Education and Science issued its
second reply to the second statement of the office of Armenian
Ombudsman on Friday.
``We could not hide our concern when reading the second statement of
the Ombudsman, hence our worst expectations come true. The situation
in Ombudsman's office is much graver than we previously assumed.
Saying Ombudsman's office, we did not imply mathematics, geometry or
algebra taught in our school in compliance with general educational
standards. We actually mean a mature, knowledgeable and professional
agency, which determines the degree of security each Armenian citizen
feels in his own country,'' scorned Ministry officials.
``Refraining from the non-appropriate level of debate, we would like
to once again highlight the concerns expressed in our first statement.
The Ministry of Education and Science will also refrain from any means
of damaging the image of Ombudsman's office, since it needs generous
support and attention for further establishment and progress. We
retaliate our readiness to provide professional services,'' reads the
statement of Armenian Ministry of Education and Science.

YEREVAN. - The office of Armenian Ombudsman gave a harsh response to
the statement of the Ministry of Education and Science.
`Reflecting on the statement issued by Armenian Ministry of Science
and Education we shall do our best to ignore the demagogy typical to
the new generation of our leadership and empty qualification typical
to certain Soviet era officials.
The Ministry of Education received an in-depth description of the
registered offense, highlighting the circumstances and legal arguments
of it. A summary of this notification was made public in order to
raise awareness about the competition process, conflict of interests
as well as illegal actions of the ministry.
Instead of showing concern over the case of human rights violation and
demonstrating the ability to solve serious institutional problems, the
Ministry tries to damage the reputation of the office of Ombudsman
with low-brow evaluations and defensive attacks,'' reads the statement
of Armenian Ombudsman.
