Yerevan Mayor finds funny rumors about his possible appointment as Premier
August 27, 2011 | 10:06
YEREVAN.- Mayor of Yerevan Karen Karapetyan is not commenting on
rumors about his possible appointment to the post of Armenia's Prime
Minister.
`I will not comment on the reports. I have repeatedly stated the
reports are untrue,' he told the Armenian Haykakan Zhamanak newspaper.
Asked what he would say if he was offered the post, Karapetyan said it
is better not to speak in the subjunctive mood.
`I did not feel a burning desire to become a mayor. So, now the answer
is: I see humor of the situation,' he said.
Asked about government's work, Karapetyan said he assesses it
differently refusing to explain what he means by saying `differently',
the newspaper writes.
