EXHIBITION ON THE HISTORY OF MONEY TURNOVER IN ARMENIA OPENS IN GAVAR

An exhibition presenting the History of Money Turnover in Armenia
was launched in the city of Gavar on November 29.
It is aimed at presenting the history of the national currency and
the money turnover to the residents of Gegharkunik marz and introduce
them to the activity of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA).
The exhibition will continue through December 5. Schoolchildren and
students of the region are expected to attend the expo.
Member of the CBA Board Armen Darbinyan noted at the opening ceremony
that ~Sthe gradually broadening framework of financial services
requires the public to be familiar with financial tools and the main
economic concepts.~T
Throughout the exhibition employees of the Central Bank will deliver
lectures for the visitors and students.
Exhibitions dedicated to the history of the Armenian national currency
have been organized in Vanadzor, Stepanavan, Ijevan, Yeghegnadzor
and Gyumri.
