Minsk Group co-chairs of the Organization for Security and Cooperation
in Europe have said at a meeting with Armenia's defense minister
Tuesday that ceasefire violations across the Line of Contact with
Azerbaijan need to be investigated.
Bernard Fassier of France, Robert Bradtke of US and Igor
Popov of Russia, as well as Personal Representative of the OSCE
Chairperson-in-Office, Andrzej Kasprzyk, told Seryan Ohanyan that the
examination of those ceasefire violations revealed that effective
mechanisms of international investigation should be introduced for
those violations
Seyran Ohanyn, in turn, briefed them on the current situation on the
Line of Contact, noting that the "provocations of Azerbaijani snipers
are a threat to the effeorts made by the Minsk Group co-chairs'
to strengthen the atmosphere of mutual trust.
Outgoing French co-chair Bernard Fassier introduced his successor
Jack Faurt whom Seyran Ohanyan congratulated on his appointment and
wished fruitful work.
