HRANT MELKUMYAN WINS ISTANBUL CHESS TOURNAMENT

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia's Hrant Melkumyan scored 8.5 points out of
10 to win the Istanbul-hosted chess tournament organized by Armenian
club Sisli.
Meanwhile, gaining 7.5 points each, grandmasters Zaven Andreasian and
Tigran Petrosian are only one point behind the leader Abhijeet Gupta at
Vizag GM International Open Chess Championship in Visakhapatnam, India.
In the last round Petrosian and Andreasian will rival Gupta and Sahaj
Grover respectively.
Rafael Vahanyan will perform in Czech Coal Chess Match - Snowdrops
and Old-hands, held in Marianske Lazne, December 3-11, armchess.am
