KARABAKH SETTLEMENT MUST ENSURE RETURN OF REFUGEES - INTERMEDIARIES

The OSCE Minsk Group cochairmen confirmed their support to the lasting
settlement of the Karabakh problem at meetings in Baku and Yerevan
on November 28-30, the intermediaries said in a statement posted on
the OSCE website.
They called for the attention of the conflicting sides to the latest
incidents along the contact line and stressed the importance of
observation of the ceasefire agreement of 1994.
The cochairmen walked across the Armenian-Azeri border on November
29 and discussed the border situation with local officials.
They met with the Karabakh Azeri community on November 30 to affirm
that the conflict settlement must ensure the return of all refugees
and displaced persons to their home regions.
Jacques Faure, who will replace Bernard Fassier as the French
cochairman of the OSCE Minsk Group, accompanied the intermediaries
on their regional visit.
