    ROMANOS MELIKYAN COLLEGE OF MUSIC INCLUDED IN 'SMILE YEREVAN' PROJECT

    The facade of the building of Romanos Melikyan College of Music has
    been decorated with ceramic sculptures of "Music," a piece by Davit
    Minasyan within the "Smile Yerevan" project.

    "This project is important in the sense that we are trying to drive
    the grimness out of our co-residents," said Davit Minasyan.

    This is the second such work within this project in Yerevan after
    the Moskovyan Street where "My Yard" - a canvas by famous Armenian
    artist Martiros Saryan - was presented in a mosaic painting.

    "As of now any person passing by this building - a child, a grown up
    - will smile and look at life somehow in another way. This is our
    main goal," explained he, adding that they are not trying to gain
    recognition by this initiative.

    "... But rather, we want to make a step forward and demonstrate to
    all that everything is not that bad," said Davit Minasyan.

    Further, he said that this is only the beginning of the project. Other
    equally important buildings in Yerevan will in the near future be
    included in the project too, he added.

    Artists and sculptures that have come together within the project
    "Smile Yerevan" are currently discussing several project proposals
    and waiting for other more interesting ideas.

    Their aim is to make Yerevan the most joyful and the most beautiful
    city in the region in the near
