THEATRE CRITICS ASSURE TOMORROW'S THEATRE IS SAVED

The Republican Festival of Youth directors' which was initiated by
the Union of Theatrical Figures of Armenia and the support of the
RA Culture Ministry for the 6th time on November 23-30 was aimed at
discovering new young directors, give them a platform of presenting
their own works and make a reliable ground for tomorrow's theatre.
Summing up the festival the secretary of the Union of Theatrical
Figures of Armenia Levon Mutafian noticed that this year it was the
first time that the young directors accepted the actors in the first
plan on the stage.
Festival not only discovered the director of tomorrow, but also gave
hope for tomorrow's theatre, Sona Meloyan theatrical critic said
noticing an important thing, the different genres presented at the
festivals were united with one single thing, with professionalism.
"We speak about a serious quality. We can draw a conclusion from the
festival that our youth not only possesses the theatrical format,
but also knows how to work with it."
However, the theatrical critics noticed the negative sides of the
presentations. Levon Mutafian noticed that in the performances of
the Armenian directors the Armenian spirit is absent.
