According to the "We Won't Keep Silent" youth initiative's reliable
sources, temporary soldier Narek Davtyan, who was recruited in June,
committed suicide at "Duts" military unit in Vanadzor on the evening of
December 2.
Things can't go on like this.
The initiative's studies show that the provinciality in the military units
are under the patronage of the commanders, and this allows them to make the
processes taking place at the military units easier to control. As a
result, we see many distortions and the society's lack of appreciation of
the army.
The activities of officers and the bodies overseeing them at the military
units can be described as a corrupt grouping with unlawful agreements and
within which relations are normalized not by the laws and rules and
regulations, but by the rules and regulations of bandits.
"We Won't Keep Silent" appeals to Commander-in-Chief of the Armenian Armed
Forces with the demand to immediately establish order in the army.
