Expert: Caucasus is Russia's shield against ill-wishing forces

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russia's stance on the Caucasus remains unchanged,
political analyst Sergey Shakaryants said.
`The Caucasus has been and remains Moscow's shield for against
ill-wishing forces,' he said adding that Russia has long perceived
Iran as its main regional enemy.
In this context, Shakaryants noted that Russia takes more interest in
Armenian foreign rather than domestic policy issues.
According to the expert, the fact that Russia always recognized
Armenian elections legitimate testifies to the aforesaid.
