December 12, 7pm, Kremlin Palace, m. Alexandrovsky Sad, Borovitskaya
The renowned French chansonnier Charles Aznavour is coming to Moscow
to present a show titled "En toute Intimite" ("Totally Private"),
which features songs from his most recent album, "Aznavour Toujours,"
and greatest hits.
The 87-year-old crooner has written more than 1,000 songs and sold
more than 100 million copies of his albums worldwide. Of Armenian
ancestry, he has retained close ties with Armenia - two years ago
he was appointed ambassador of Armenia to Switzerland and Armenia's
permanent delegate to the United Nations. He also has a lot of fans
in Russia, where he has performed several times.
The show at the Kremlin Palace may be the last opportunity for Moscow
audiences to see Aznavour live in concert, as his performances since
late 2006 have come as part of a global farewell tour.
