PROGRESS IN KARABAKH TALKS WAS NOT ACHIEVED IN 2011 - FRENCH OFFICIAL

VILNIUS.- The sides did not manage to achieve progress in the Karabakh
talks in 2011, said French European Affairs Minister Jean Leonetti.
Recalling that France is co-chairing state of the OSCE Minsk Group,
Leonetti noted that no breakthrough was achieved in talks despite
the efforts of the mediators and attempts of the Russian, U.S. and
French leaders.
Speaking during the OSCE Ministerial Council, Leonetti expressed
hope it would be possible to resume dynamics in 2012, the Armenian
News-NEWS.am correspondent reports from Vilnius. He stressed that it is
high time to make a decision using momentum and immediately support the
reviewed Madrid Principles on the settlement of the Karabakh conflict.
