IRELAND TO MAINTAIN CLOSE CONTACTS WITH OSCE MINSK GROUP TO RESOLVE KARABAKH CONFLICT - FM

VILNIUS. - Ireland will maintain close contacts with the OSCE Minsk
Group during its presidency in the OSCE next year, Irish Foreign
Minister Eamon Gilmore.
Addressing the OSCE Ministerial Council, he noted that Ireland pays
tribute to the work of the OSCE Minsk Group and intends to maintain
close contact with the â~@~Kâ~@~Kco-chairs.
According to Gilmore, while dealing with the conflicts Ireland will
rely on its experience in conflict resolution in order to achieve
progress and participation of all the conflicting parties.
He also welcomed the continuation of negotiations on Transnistria in
5 +2 format expressing hope that the next round would take place in
Ireland, the Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent reports from Vilnius.
At the same time Gilmore expressed concern over the conflict in
Georgia, noting the importance of continuing the Geneva discussions.
