EDUARD SHARMAZANOV ELECTED AS DEPUTY NA CHAIRMAN

The spokesperson for the ruling Republican Party of Armenia has been
elected as the Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly.
Eduard Sharmazanov won a total of 92 votes.
Armen Martirosyan from the opposition party Heritage, another candidate
for the post, received only six votes.
A total of 98 MPs took part in the voting.
It comes after Deputy NA Chairman Samvel Nikoyan was elected as NA
chairman, receiving the votes of 102.
Former NA Chairman Hovik Abrahamyan resigned last month to run organize
the election campaign of the ruling Republican party of Armenia.
