"Azerbaijan is a country, which is able to secure the rights of
representatives of all nations living in its territory", said Elnur
Aslanov, chief of the political analysis and informational provision
department of Azerbaijan's Presidential Administration in his speech at
the international conference, titled "Twentieth Year of Independence:
Successes Achieved and Challenges Faced on the Way to the Progressive,
Fair and Dynamic State Building," jointly organized by the Center
for Strategic Studies under President of Azerbaijan (SAM) and United
Nations Development Program, APA reports.
"Azerbaijani side desires the international organizations and world
community to say its word to unconstructive position of Armenia. How
can it be that some resolutions of the UN are fulfilled in a few hours,
but the resolutions on Nagorno Karabakh remain unfulfilled? The UN
must say its word on this issue. The pressures against Armenia must
be increased".
Elnur Aslanov underlined that Azerbaijan was ready to work on peace
treaty: "Azerbaijani people wants to live peacefully. The people
living in Nagorno Karabakh are also Azerbaijani citizens".
