Armenia and Lebanon have reconfirmed their willingness to continue the
close cooperation existing between the two countries in the political,
economic, educational-cultural and other fields of reciprocal interest,
the Presidents of Armenia and Lebanon said at a joint press conference
    in Yerevan.

Seven agreements were signed between the two countries today, which
will contribute to the further deepening of relations.

During the press conference the Presidents of Armenia and Lebanon
Serzh Sargsyan and Michel Sleiman referred to the issue of unsolved
conflicts, including the Nagorno Karabakh issue.

Presenting Lebanon's position, President Sleiman emphasized that
"the Nagorno Karabakh conflict should be resolved on the basis of
international law and the right of peoples to self-determination."

Armenia and Lebanon have always been supporting each other within
the framework of international organizations on issues of vital
importance. The Presidents agreed to continue the cooperation in the
spirit of mutual understanding and reciprocal trust.

President Serzh Sargsyan informed his Lebanese counterpart that
Azerbaijan is trying to present the Karabakh issue as a religious
    conflict among the Muslim countries.
