YEREVAN. - Aravot daily asked the Armenian National Assembly's youngest
MP, Martun Grigoryan, about his views on Gyumri municipal authorities'
criticisms toward his family that, by opening "night clubs" in the
city, his family is ruining the traditional Gyumri. "To note, one of
Gyumri's three night clubs belongs to the MP's cousin, and assistant
manager of ArmRusGazprom Company's Gyumri Office, Rustam Grigoryan,"
Aravot writes.
"In my view, opening clubs, discotheques, [and] children's worlds is
normal. Who says the Gyumri resident does not deserve to watch the art
of professional strippers from the Ukraine?", the MP said, adding that
this business was created in the city upon the request of the Russian
military servicemen who are serving in Gyumri. Grigoryan also informed
that, upon the suggestion and request of the same Russians, one of
his relatives will soon open a disco-karaoke club in Gyumri. "Isn't
it good to open, to create jobs, [and] to also make tax payments in
Gyumri?", Aravot writes.
