Expert: Azerbaijan turned into weak-willed raw material appendage for
superpowers
December 11, 2011 - 15:27 AMT
PanARMENIAN.Net - Subsequent "voluntary" withdrawal of Azerbaijan's
draft resolution from UN General Assembly agenda reiterates Baku's
foreign policy implementation, Armenian political analyst said.
According to Levon Melik-Shahnazaryan, Azerbaijan, which never became
an independent sovereign state, is urged to implement superpowers'
orders, Analitika.at.ua reported.
`Orders that Azerbaijan gets regarding Nagorno-Karabakh conflict are a
mere reaction to Baku's attempts to distort the conflict. Azerbaijan
does not and cannot have occupied territories. This is not only stand
of Stepanakert, but that of world powers,' the expert said.
The expert further noted that, Azerbaijan's energy resources have
turned it into a weak-willed raw material appendage for superpowers.
Draft resolution "Situation in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan"
placed on UN General Assembly agenda by Azerbaijan was again withdrawn
at Baku's suggestion.
