Narek Hartunyan never evaded taxes, says his lawyer

The President of Narekatsi Art Union Narek Hartunyan has never evaded
paying taxes, his lawyer Ani Torosyan has said in an interview with
the Armenian news website Hetq.am.
According to her, Nartunyan's arrest is aimed at making him pay his
taxes entirely. She also said that the company owned by Hartunyan, JH
Storage Enterprise, has already appealed the accusations brought
against it.
The company is accused of evading 105 million dram (approx. $273,000) in taxes.
Ani Torosyan further said that Narek Hartunyan is ready to pay all the
taxes once the exact amount is known.
Therefore, she explained, the claim by the State Revenue Committee
that he intentionally evaded taxes is not true.
According to Torosyan, the arrest of Arthur Galstyan, the company's
accountant is not legitimate either as he has a third-degree
disability.
Ani Torosyan referred to Galstyan's arrest as `torture'.
