A senior Azerbaijani MP has proposed holding a meeting of the
Azerbaijani and Armenian communities of Nagorno-Karabakh in Moscow.

Bahar Muradova told journalists that meetings between the communities
would help the negotiating process to find a solution to the conflict
    over the region, Gun.Az reports.

"As the Azerbaijani side, we raised the initiative of this meeting. I
think that people living in Nagorno-Karabakh should meet and overcome
the lack of trust and confidence in each other. They should share
their thoughts on how to coexist and govern the region in future. I
think this would have a positive effect on the negotiating process."

Meanwhile, the chairman of the Azerbaijani Community of
Nagorno-Karabakh, Bayram Safarov, said that the community intended
    to continue meetings, APA reported.

"We want the communities to meet regularly", he said and added that
relationships and dialogue between the communities would contribute
to the settlement of the conflict.

Safarov said that the next meeting had not been scheduled.

Farhad Badalbayli, a member of the Azerbaijani Community of
Nagorno-Karabakh and rector of Baku Music Academy, said that the
community would like another visit by intelligentsia to Karabakh but
that a date was not yet on the agenda.

"But we are working on a visit," Badalbayli said.

He said that the Armenian community of Nagorno Karabakh was avoiding a
meeting with the Azerbaijani community: "Maybe their government doesn't
allow it. We are continuing our attempts to bring about negotiations."

Representatives of the Armenian community of Nagorno-Karabakh failed
to attended a forum for dialogue with the Azerbaijani community,
held in Berlin at the end of November.
