ARA ABRAHAMYAN HAS PROBLEMS

The Haykakan Zhamanak Daily writes that the President of the Union
of Armenians of Russia Ara Abrahamyan was not in Russia on the day
of the parliamentary elections. He had left for the U.S. two weeks
before the election.
Abrahamyan's assistant, Sofya, did not refute this information but
she did not comment on rumors that Abrahamyan has problems in Moscow
so he left for the U.S. "Here telephone talks are wiretapped, I can't
answer any questions," she said. Sofya said Abrahamyan will return
to Moscow only after New Year holidays.
Actually, he will not be in Moscow on December 21. On that day Armenia
Fund will hold its traditional dinner in Moscow with the Russia-based
Armenian businessmen who make donations, Haykakan Zhamanak writes.
