HEAD OF EU DELEGATION: ARMENIA IS ONE OF MOST THE IMPORTANT NEIGHBORS FOR EU

Yerevan/Mediamax/. Newly appointed head of EU Delegation to Armenia,
Ambassador Traian Hristea said that he "is ready to do his best to
develop bilateral relations between Armenia and EU".
Traian Hristea said this at the session of Armenia-EU Consultative
Group, Mediamax reports.
According to him, "Armenia is one of the most important neighbors
for the European Union".
Traian Hristea also noted that big progress has been registered
in the talks on Association Agreement" and deep and comprehensive
negotiations on the creation of a free trade area "will be held in
the nearest future".
"We will move on by the slogan "more for more". It means more financial
assistance, political dialogue at higher level and deeper economic
integration for countries that have indeed initiated basic reforms,"
the newly appointed head of EU Delegation to Armenia said.
For his part, chairman of the interdepartmental commission for
cooperation with EU, Secretary of Armenian National Security Council
Artur Baghdasaryan said that the Armenia-EU Action Plan for 2009-2011
has been successfully completed and a new program for 2012-2013 is
already drafted.
