PanARMENIAN.Net - The director of the Center for Military Forecasts
believes Russia's military department is wary of Baku's doubling its
military budget over the last 3 years to purchase inordinate amounts of
weaponry, thus causing a well-founded irritation with Iran and Armenia.
As Anatoly Tsygankov reminded, Baku increased the pressure on Moscow
demanding to up the rent for Gabala radar station use. "Still, even
considering the disputes between Iran and Azerbaijan over Caspian
oilfields, Baku is unlikely to support anti-Iranian military campaign
or start a war against Armenia," the expert remarked.
