Protesters gather in front of the French Embassy in Ankara to protest
    'Armenian proposal'

ANKARA (A.A) -December 22, 2011 -A group of Turkish protestors
gathered in front of the French Embassy in Ankara on Thursday to
protest the "Armenian proposal" adopted in the French Parliament.

Describing themselves as the "Talatpasa Committee", the protestors
carried banners that read "Stop France. We did not commit genocide but
    we defended our homeland".

Speaking on behalf of the group, Bulent Esinoglu said that "the French
decision implied the Turkish nation was a killer".

We do not recognize the decision of the French Parliament, Esinoglu stressed.

Turkish Police took tight security measures in front of the French
    Embassy in Ankara.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of Turkish Confederation of Tradesmen and
Craftsmen (TESK), Bendevi Palandoken, said Thursday that they strongly
condemned today's vote at the French Parliament on the "Armenian
    proposal".

"We are removing all French products from our shelves," Palandoken said.

We have prepared flyers condemning the French Parliament's decision
today. The flyers would be posted on taxi cabs, minibuses, buses and
    billboards, Palandoken also said.
