Karabakh mediators are visiting Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan's Defense Minister, Colonel-General Safar Abiyev received
the co-chairs of OSCE Minsk Group Robert Bradtke, Bernard Fassier,
Igor Popov and Personal Representative of OSCE Chairman-in-Office
Andrzej Kasprzyk, Defense Ministry's press service reported.
The visitors shared their impressions about the Nagorno Karabakh
conflict and current state on the line of contact.
According to Safar Abiyev, though the activity of the Minsk Group
has not produced concrete results, we have not lost our hopes in
this mission. The Minister said the efforts must be united for the
solution of the conflict, Armenia must give up its aggressive policy
and the peaceful variant will be possible only in this context.
Defense Minister underlined that Azerbaijan is making serious
preparations for the liberation of the occupied territories. He said
all states would act in a similar manner under such circumstances.
'No one can blame Azerbaijan for this issue,' he said.
Safar Abiyev underlined the importance of applying the existing
international rules in the solution of such conflicts and cited as an
example such an approach with regard to several countries. Minister
said similar attitude must be demonstrated with regard to Azerbaijan.
'But we see its difference, it causes regret,' he said.
