SOUTH CAUCASUS RAILWAY MAKES 25-50% DISCOUNT FOR STUDENTS

Yerevan Mayor Karen Karapetyan and the Chief Executive Officer of South
Caucasus Railway, LLC, Shevket N. Shaydullin, signed an agreement on
2011-2015 socio-economic cooperation.
According to a press release by the Yerevan Municipality, Karapetyan
said that the agreement is multi-lateral and crates favourable climate
for the implementation of joint projects.
He also highlighted the social importance of the projects for the
residents of Yerevan and expressed hope that this cooperation between
the city administration and businesses will serve as a good example
for the entire business community.
Shaydullin, in turn, mentioned that mutually-beneficial cooperation
will soon bear its results.
"The areas of cooperation are numerous, but I think that the most
important thing is that everything will be done to ensure comfort
for the residents of Yerevan," he said.
The agreement envisages designing of a comprehensive plan to modernize
the railway system both in Yerevan and around in an attempt to increase
of the effectiveness of the transportation system.
It also envisages from 25-50% fare discount for students travelling
by train within Armenia.
