President felicitates Christian leaders on New Year
Tehran, Jan 1, IRNA - President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in his messages to
his Christian counterparts expressed hope that the year 2011 would be
the year of friendship, peace and tranquility for the human community.
In his separate messages to his Christian counterparts as well as
the Leader of the world Catholics, he felicitated the birth
anniversary of the messenger of peace, freedom and justice, Jesus
Christ (PBUH) and the onset of the new Christian year.
The Iranian President also hoped that the entire humanity would return
to fundamental principles of the teachings of the divine messengers
regarding establishment of understanding among all followers of the
divine religions.
President Ahmadinejad further called for administration of justice and
establishment of brotherhood, security and tranquility throughout the
globe.
Meanwhile, in his message to Leader of the World Catholics, Pope
Benedict XVI, the President called for success of all true followers
of Jesus Christ and prosperity of the divine religion across the globe
in the new Christian year.
