CHAIRMAN OF EUROPEAN PIANO COMPETITION TO VISIT ARMENIA

YEREVAN, JANUARY 26, ARMENPRESS: A delegation headed by Yves Robert,
founder chairman of the European Piano Competition and coordinator of
the European Piano Program, has been visiting Armenia January 25-30
to establish close ties with the country's cultural society.
Press service of the French Embassy to Armenia told Armenpress that
during the visit preliminary works will be carried out in the direction
of organizing master classes in May, which will be conducted by Art
Director of the European Piano Competition, French pianist Daniel
Laval.
On January 27, French pianist Julien Faure will give a concert
in the French Embassy in Armenia. He will perform works by Liszt,
Chopin and Ravel. Three pianists from Yerevan State Conservatory -
Isabella Marutyan, Artavazd Hambaryan and Ashkhen Grigoryan will take
part in the concert.
The European Piano Competition will enable two Armenian pianists to
take trainings in France and to participate in the European Piano
Competition, which will be held October 15-30.
