Armenian alpinists will leave for Iran to climb 5671 meter high Mount
Damavand, the highest peak of the Islamic Republic.
Seven-member national team from Armenia's federation of alpinism and
mountain tourism will arrive in Iran on June 30 at the invitation of
Iranian alpinism federation.
Armenian team has not officially participated in such events
for 15 years, emergency ministry press service informed Armenian
News-NEWS.am. It is a good chance and a serious challenge to revive
traditions of the Armenian mountain climbing.
