Gagik Harutyunyan says media field needs to be regulated

YEREVAN, JULY 1, ARMENPRESS:
It is necessary to regulate the media field, guide the propaganda
approaches: with that aim it is necessary to create a coordinated
institution, head of the "Noravank" scientific educational center
Gagik Harutyunyan said today at the meeting with reporters during the
round table-discussion on the "Issues of Cooperation of Armenian
Information Resources". The attendees discussed the strong and weak
sides of Armenia's media field in regional and international
propaganda directions at the same time referring to the inner issues
as well.
"It is necessary to keep under limelight not only the Armenian press
but the Diaspora press too for trying to understand what information
is being circulated about the inner and outer policy of Armenia. We
must work with the Diaspora institutions, including with Armenian
embassies and consulates", expert Vahram Mirakyan said. According to
him, it will be good to organize journalists' classes for the
representatives of Diaspora media field.
