Armenia's police to get membership to IPA
17:27 - 02.07.11
The head of the International Police Association and the head of
Russia's branch of the IPA opened the Armenian branch of the IPA in
Yerevan on Saturday.
`The aim of my visit to Yerevan is the opening of the branch of the
International Police Association in Armenia,' said Michel Odysseos.
`I am here to give advice as to how to move forward. Before becoming a
full member of the organization there are a couple of procedures
Armenia should pass,' he added.
The goal of the association is that the society will in its turn help
the police. Armenia's police will become a member of the IPA by 2012,
if it meets all the requirements set by the IPA.
`We hope that by 2012 we will reach our main goal, that is Armenia's
membership to the International Police Association,' said Odysseos.
