Armenia has one of the most liberal economic legislations in the

Yerevan, July 2. /Mediamax/. In the nearest future Armenia will
launch negotiations with EU concerning the free trade agreement.
Mediamax reports that the Armenian President Serzh Sargsian said this
at the Armenian-Ukrainian Business Forum, which took place on July 1,
2010.
`Armenia has one of the most liberal economic legislations in the
post-Soviet area. We have all mechanisms to protect the rights of
investors and secure equal and competitive environment for their
activity. Armenia closely cooperates with EU for coordination of the
legislation. At present the issue of assigning Armenia the status of
market economy is in the process of discussion, and we are completing
negotiations around the Association Agreement [between Armenia and the
European Union]. In the nearest future negotiations will be launched
with EU concerning the Free Trade Agreement', Armenian President said.
