Wednesday 6 July 2011 15:29 Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenian national
air carrier Armavia considers the opportunity of purchasing Georgian
Airzena airline.
Mediamax reports that owner of Armavia, President of "Mika" Corporation
Mikhail Baghdasarov said this at a news conference in Yerevan today.
According to him, the offer on purchase of Airzena was received from
the Georgian airline itself.
"We have not made a final decision yet, but Airzena is quite a good
private company, balanced and present on the market for a long time",
Mikhail Baghdasarov said, without specifying the cost of the possible
deal.
Touching upon the financial state of Armavia, Mikhail Baghdasarov
said that the company is repaying credit debt for purchase of three
new airliners (Sukhoy Superhet, Bombardier and Airbus), which exceeds
USD 40mln. He noted that this debt does not cause problems for the
company, adding that Armenia continues launching new flights (Lions,
