YEREVAN. - Franco-Masonic lodge in literal translation means lodge of
freemasons and has nothing to do with the mystical perceptions about
the organization, which are prevalent in the public, said the grand
master of French Masonic Lodge Guy Arsize at a press conference in
Armenia on Wednesday.
He stressed that the French Masonic Lodge, in particular the Grand
Orient De France, acts entirely public. It deals with social issues,
human rights, focuses on women's rights and is not engaged in
political issues.
According to him sex, race and age of the person does not matter for
affiliation to the lodge.
"For instance, I do not believe in God, but I am not Satan," said
Arsize, adding that it is Anglo-Saxon Masonic lodge that has kept
the mystical direction and secrecy.
