POLITICAL CONSULTATIONS TAKE PLACE BETWEEN ARMENIA AND CHINA

(Noyan Tapan - 07.07.2011) On July 4-5, the delegation headed by the
Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Manasaryan, was in China to
hold the usual consultations between Armenia and China. The delegation
of China was headed by the Deputy Foreign Minister of China Chen Gopin.
On July 4, in China during the consultations in the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs the sides discussed the issues of further development and
deepening of the relations between Armenia and China, the cooperation
with the UN and other international organizations. They exchanged
thoughts about the implementation of new joint programs and interchange
in the fields of culture, education and so on.
On July 5, the RA Deputy Foreign Minister received the Foreign Minister
of China Yan Dziechi. Touching upon the results of the consultations
the head of the foreign departments of China positively appreciated
the dynamics of interstate contacts and attached importance to
the necessity of further development of mutual relations. The sides
stressed that the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic
relations between both countries, which will be marked in 2012,
is progress in the cooperation in the fields of politics, trade,
economy and culture.
The department of press, information and public relations of the RA
Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports that in the frames of the visit
the RA Deputy Foreign Minister also had working visits with the
Deputy Minister of Commerce of China Chun Shan, the Vice-President
of the Academy of Contemporary International Relations Tsi Jie and
the Deputy Mayor of Shanghais Sha Khaypin.
